Tratto probabilmente dal miglior volume (IMHO) della fortunata serie Cafe del Mar, questa prima traccia ricca di vibrazioni orientali (ma non solo) dal sapore misterioso e affascinante è perfetta per giornate come quella odierna: grigie, malinconiche e con una leggera nebbia. Una traccia che ha il potere di avvolgere l'ascoltatore completamente e di portarlo in luoghi lontani e suggestivi, proprio come Mumbai (la ex Bombay), alla quale la canzone è dedicata.

...L'inizio è al fulmicotone con "Baba O'Riley". Il brano, dedicato al santone Indiano Meher Baba e al musicista Terry Riley, prende forma attraverso una introduzione minimalista a base di sintetizzatore pilotato da Townshend: una introduzione che e' pura leggenda, un suono rotatorio che si rincorre infinitamente al fine di ricreare cerchi concentrici sonori; uno stacco imperioso di Moon introduce il cantato regale di Daltrey, che con interpretazione enfatica fa letteralmente spiccare il volo della canzone verso cieli rarefatti contraddistinti dal cantato meditabondo di Townshend. Uno stacco, e la melodia raggiunge il suo climax attraverso un piccolo e azzeccato intermezzo chitarristico; gli stacchi sono precisi e potenti, e' un tuono Moon, e Townshend e' il suo lampo che con i suo squarcianti bagliori sonori illumina e veglia su tanta bellezza. Il finale e' una chicca che stupisce per genio: un assolo di violino che nasce timidamente per poi prendere il largo verso un mare in tempesta fatto di ritmi furibondi...

Una inaspettata sorpresa, l'album (Let it Die) è tra i più interessanti al momento in cirkolazione, askoltate un brano Now at Last e ditemi se nn ho ragione.
Ne vale la pena kuesto Let it Die, è elegante e pieno di sfacettature, un pò la Annette Aurell sembra Norah Jones, un pò Nina Simone, elegante e seducente.
Poi nn diciamo ke è kosì per forza solo perkè francese.
Tornando al singolo è delikato e morbido, a grandi linee mi rikorda gli Zoot Woman.
Inusuale anke kome l'ho trovato, della serie ad MTV nn trasmettono sempre porkerie, perlomeno a notte fonda.

Splendida opera del Maestro supremo Ennio Morricone, tratta da un film stupendo del 1969 di Henri Verneuil in cui il mitico Lino Ventura (al secolo Angelo Borrini, attore francese nato a Parma ) recitò la parte del commissario di polizia costretto a confrontarsi con Jean Gabin. Film indimenticabile, così come indimenticabile è la sua colonna sonora. Eccezionale, come praticamente tutti i lavori di Morricone; è uno dei motivi che ormai a mio avviso sono entrati a pieno titolo a far parte della musica "classica". Geniale.

Oggi vi delizio con il commento di DJ Venom in merito a questo disco.

Uno dei pezzi trance che ha rappresentato il genere musicale negli ultimi tempi. Sicuramente i synth utilizzati sono molto grezzi, ma hanno un ottimo impatto acustico; le percussioni e i filtri sono molto articolati. Questo disco è stato dedicato alla Street Parade 2k1 da Davide Tropeano & Ivan Lujic, e merita l'evento internazionale perchè è un capolavoro assoluto.

Oggi una traccia che si potrebbe definire APOCALITTICA!

Capelli lunghi, vestiti in pelle borchiati, ecco come si presentano i mitici Judas Priest... da veri metallari degli anni 80'!

"You've Got Another Thing Comin'", presente anche nell'OST di GTA Vice City, è una brano che tutti dovrebbero conoscere, metallari e non, perchè è una pietra miliare della storia del Rock

Non so nulla a proposito dei due tizi qui sopra, ma a quanto pare sono due abbastanza famosi. Non avevo mai sentito questa traccia prima di una settimana fa, se non che, da allora, continua a suonare fino ad ora nei miei lettori (pc ed auto).
Pezzo trance davvero pregevole, ti entra in testa e non vuole più uscire, sicuramente un ottimo prodotto di quella fucina elettronica che sono stati gli anni 90.
