From Here to Eternity è un brano impregnato di Elektro/Disco con quel tocco magico che solo Giorgio Moroder sa dare.

Ascoltandola non mi da l'impressione di un suond vecchio, anzi! potrebbe essere scambiato per un brano contemporaneo...pensate allora quanto poteva stare avanti

Di origine italiane, anche lui cresciuto artisticamente a buone dosi di Kraftwerk, il nostro Giorgio è, IHMO, uno dei più grandi compositori di OST, come non citare Scarface, The Neverending Story, Top Gun tra le colonne sonore più famose dai lui composte.

Come artista è peragonabile solo ad Ennio Morricone, tutti gli altri stanno un gradino sotto!

Un brano house notevole, realizzato da Gaston Steenkist & René ter Horst, coadiuvato dalla prestazione vocale di David Gonçalves e trasformato in una bestia di potenza techno (ma notevole anche nella versione house originale) da Jark Prongo (che son sempre i due Chocolate Puma sotto altro nome, asd). Suoni incazzati, voce incazzata in questa versione remixata, ed un groove che ha qualcosa di tribale, ma che spinge in maniera veramente notevole.

In 1992 two Amsterdam DJs, Zki and Dobre, founded a label called Fresh Fruit. The label was designed to release records by the duo under a number of assumed names like The Good Men, René Et Gaston, Klatsch!, Jark Prongo, Basco and many more.
In 1995 Zki and Dobre decided to quit with the Fresh Fruit Label and start a new label called Pssst Music, where they played both producer and label boss, releasing both their own records and the offerings of the hottest new producers in Holland.
Chocolate Puma is the latest venture of these chameleon characters.
Their first release in 2001 was “I Wanna Be U” with vocal inspiration provided by male vocalist Evo. " I Wanne Be U" was an international crossover hit all over Europe.
The second release in 2003 is “A Star Is Born”. This time David Gonçalvez sang the vocals on this tune. Pete Tong got his hands on a copy of 'A Star Is Born' and played it a couple of times at the Essential Selection on BBC Radio 1. He even chose it to be Essential New Tune!

Siore e Siori, ecco un'altra traccia molto bella proveniente addirittura dagli stessi autori della mitica e blasonatissima "Gypsy woman"; eh, 1991, anno di grandissimi successi e forse anno di punta della house "old school" primi anni '90, che ha visto nascere e andare in gloria successi come "Gonna catch you" di Loonie Gordon, come le songs di FPI Project, che già avvicinavano molto più l'house alla techno (come è anche oggi)... bei tempi davvero.

Questo brano ha il tipico groove con i suoni percussionistici usuali nei primi anni '90, la classica vocina in loop, e la voce splendida della cantante, che, in collaborazione con gli immortali Basement Boys, ha lasciato qualcosa di davvero indelebile nella memoria musicale contemporanea.

Il tutto in perfetto stile house. Indimenticabile, bellissima, uno dei pezzi che penso non spariranno mai dalle mie preferenze.
