Volevo soffermarmi questa volta, di più sul Videoclip che la canzone stessa (che è stupenda, oltre aver avuto un buon successo)
Esso infatti è composto da un mix grafico di Dada, costruttivismo russo, surrealismo e quant’altro. In un crescendo caleidoscopico, il video dei Franz Ferdinand, nuovi protagonisti della scena indie britannica, genera un musical di immagini d’avanguardie storiche. Una vertigine delirante che segue il ritmo scomposto della band… (cit. dalla recensione di Exibart.com ).
Insomma, ne viene fuori un bel lavoro che naturalmente, ricorda il classico tema del uomo-makkina, già utilizzato, più di 25 anni or sono, vai a vedere, dai Kraftwerk (Da notare infatti alcuni effetti grafici di stampo Lissitzkyano, guarda caso lo stesso artista da cui i Kraftwerk attingono per la copertina del famoso album "The Man Machine" )

Il cd singolo in cui è contenuto il remix di questo splendido brano di Sascha Lappessen (in arte Sash!), operato dal mitico progetto DuMonde, formato dai bravissimi Jurgen Mutschall & Dominik de Leon (in arte DJ JamX & De Leon), è letteralmente CONSUMATO. Non so quante migliaia di volte io abbia sentito, suonato, devastato questa traccia ad ogni volume possibile. So solo che il brano è stupendo, quando parte il synth con la melodia centrale è un orgasmo assoluto, è una potenza crescente che non si ferma più, un delirio micidiale. Del resto i remixers sono due persone di qualità e genialità mostruosa, dato che DuMonde hanno fatto svariati tra i pezzi trance che tutt'oggi continuo a preferire avere "a portata di mano sempre".

Grandissima traccia, chi ama la trance non può essersela lasciata scappare. E' anche contenuta in un album in edizione speciale, di Sash!, dedicato proprio ai suoi fan. Una specie di raccolta di successi, contenente sia tracce audio, che video.

Ne ho già parlato nel topic apposito ( http://forums.multiplayer.it/showthr...hreadid=218800 ), un vero appassionato di House non può perdersi questo disco.

Semplicemente fantastico, per i suoni, l'atmosfera un po' latineggiante, il groove, è qualcosa di veramente trascinante, dall'inizio alla fine.

Una meraviglia di Coccoluto e Martinez.

Swedish producer Axwell has had a string of releases under various pseudonyms – Jetlag and Mambana among them – but for this he’s simply himself. And that means another trademark 12” with the usual tight production and oozing summery vibe that we’re come to expect from Soulfuric’s favourite Scandinavian son.

We’re treated to a slowly filtered falling keyboard intro that builds over a light bass and snare, before dropping into a sumptuous melody as the vocals pour in. Everything is done devastatingly well. The staccato hi-hats, the plump but not overdone bassline, the vocal in the breakdown is sublime, and as a whole the tune is even more than the sum of its parts, instantly taking the listener back to memories of the sun on their back and a drink in their hand. Its perfect proof of the talent that’s seen Axwell’s star rise over the last 3 years. In case of winter emergency, just break glass, lie back and smile.

Robert Bruce Chetcuti & Steve McGuiness, con questa traccia assolutamente geniale, entrano nella testa e non ne escono più. E' un disco basato tutto su giochetti fatti con i filtri, veramente spettacolare nella riuscita. Consigliato a tutti l'ascolto per capire a che livelli si può arrivare giocando con un semplice effetto.

Rob Chetcutti and Steve McGuiness first met around 11 years ago in Malta, when they were both in a local hip-hop group. After spotting what they describe as each other's "formulating talent", the Rhythm Masters were formed, and after 3 years of getting to know each other in the studio, Rob & Steve moved to England. Much of the first half of the 90's was spent absorbing the house scene, particularly the garage sounds of the US, where there long term relationship with Todd Terry began, and their romance with the US sounds started. The sounds from this time can be heard subliminally through every Rhythm Masters track, and the respect that they've earned from US heavyweights like Todd, Armand Van Helden or Roger Sanchez only goes to show that these guys know what they're talking about.
But it wasn't until 1996 and their re-mixes of Todd Terry's "Jumpin" and Plastic Dreams that it really took off, enabling the guys to build the Rhythm studio and start working with the big boys. Their fan base from the other side of the Atlantic continued to grow, and the Rhythm Masters started to get calls. From New Jersey, Chicago, Frankfurt and Paris. House Music wanted that RM sound again & again.
1997 saw them win the coveted Music Week/Record Mirror award as the number 1 remix producers. Not only did this period secure their position as one of the top remix teams in the world, but helped establish their trend of time- stretched vocals and trademark phat filtered garage beats that we're so familiar with today.
Rob and Steve always kept their feet on the ground, returning home at regular intervals to their adopted home town of Brighton to play various venues, and setting up their own label "Disfunktional Recording", which continues to build a global DJ following.
By the end of the 90's they found themselves credited amongst the UK's top 10 of the decade in Music Week, a testimony to their ability to consistently produce top quality material for the underground AND commercial arena's. The RM's had learnt a lot, and wanted to use their experience. They'd been working with some of the biggest talent around, and it was time to explore their own sound.
Rob was always a skilled keyboard player, a talent coming from those hours spent working towards Grade 8 piano as a kid, and Steve had begun his career as a scratch hip hop DJ at the angst age of 15.

Produzione tutta italiana firmata Bini & Martini + Pastaboys, ovvero in sintesi Gianni Bini, Paolo Martini, Dino Angioletti, Cristiano Rinaldi (noto anche come Uovo) e Davide Santandrea (noto anche come Rame). La voce (bellissima) è di Lisa Millet, è una bella canzoncina da canticchiare allegramente, che però ha un groove house tipico dei dischi made in Italy. E' sempre piacevole riascoltarla ogni tanto.

Volevo consigliare a tutti i "postanti" della Traccia del Giorno, di aggiungere un link al sample (cioè uno spezzone) ad ogni brano

Ritengo che è può essere molto utile, sia per chi vuole far conoscere la traccia, che la renderebbe più facilmente fruibile l'ascolto ad un numero maggiore di persone, sia per i lettori/ascoltatori in modo che da valutare subito la traccia in questione senza "procurarsela" facendo i salti mortali

Questo è solo un consiglio, poi decidete voi cosa ritenete più opportuno

Un disco che invece ancora oggi, non ha perso il suo smalto iniziale è "Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)" di Hashim, uscito nel 1983 sulla Cutting di Aldo Marin e realizzato da Gerry Calliste jr.
Il suo giro di basso è stampato nella memoria di qualsiasi breaker e amante dell'Electro su questo pianeta e la sua ritmica arricchita da bellissimi giri di synth e vocoder da urlo, aveva ed ha ancora una carica paurosa.

Mai sentito niente di più orgasmico (è confrontabile solo ai KW), è qualcosa proveniente da un altro pianeta...

Tijs Verwest, in arte DJ Tiesto. Un genio totale. Il migliore al mondo, a mio avviso, quando si parla di musica Trance pura, nella sua massima espressione. In questa traccia è stato scomodato addirittura BT, al secolo Brian Wayne Transeau, altra testa grossa della musica elettronica & affini, produttore che tra l'altro ha anche collaborato, per fare un paio di nomi, con gente del calibro di Timo Maas e Paul Van Dyck.

Questa traccia è come al solito stupenda: groove con una produzione sonora assolutamente eccellente, samples eccezionali e trattati ad arte, e soprattutto una voce che, quando entra, è fantastica.

Consigliata a tutti gli amanti della Trance, assolutamente.

L'intera opera di Fragile rasenta la perfezione, sotto ogni punto di vista, kompositivo e di produzione. Askoltatelo e vi kiederete kome kazzo fa a suonare kosì bene, un impatto magistrale ed un uso dell'elettronika in modo massiccio.
Al di là dell'opinabile parere personale tekniko, The Fragile è un'opera d'arte e kome tale può piacere o non piacere nella sua kompletezza. The Wretched sfrega kome karta vetrata sulla faccia e al primo askolto (magari kon i testi sottomano) kapirete kosa intendo.
Giudikato dalla kritika kome l'album più innovativo del 1999, se nn il migliore. Trent Reznor ammettiamolo kon modestia, è un genio ke mette tutti kuanti gli altri dietro, al di là del genere musikale ke voi preferite.
