E' stata una settimana particolare per il mercato videoludico giapponese, quella che si è conclusa il 9 dicembre. I negozi nipponici hanno infatti visto l'arrivo di Wii U e dei relativi giochi di lancio, l'8 dicembre, mentre solo due giorni prima c'è stato il debutto dell'atteso Yakuza 5, che si è subito imposto nelle classifiche software con oltre 356mila copie vendute.
Ottimi risultati anche per New Super Mario Bros. U (secondo), Paper Mario: Sticker Star (terzo) e Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (quarto). Per rimanere in tema Nintendo, ZombiU ha debuttato al quindicesimo posto con 13mila copie vendute.
