Microsoft pubblica le tradizionali classifiche stilate in base ai dati raccolti sull'attività online di Xbox Live, rivelando i giochi più giocati e più scaricati sulla piattaforma di Xbox 360 e PC.
Viene fuori che, nella settimana compresa tra il 31 dicembre e il 6 gennaio 2013, il gioco più gettonato online è stato Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, seguito sempre dal sorprendente Minecraft e dal solito Halo 4, con FIFA 13 e Modern Warfare 3 a seguire. Tra i titoli Live Arcade, i più scaricati sono stati ancora una volta Minecraft e Trials Evolution seguiti da The Walking Dead. Gli Indie di maggior successo sono stati CastlMiner Z, Murder Miners e Xenominer, a dimostrazione del dominio dei "miner" in ambito indie.
Infine, manco a dirlo, il gioco più scaricato da Games for Windows Live è sempre il buon vecchio GTA IV, come da tradizione.
