Nonostante si tratti di una remaster, la versione PlayStation 4 di Journey è stata accolta con grande entusiasmo dai possessori della nuova console Sony, tanto da risultare il gioco più venduto su PlayStation Store nel mese di luglio. Per quanto riguarda le altre piattaforme, su PlayStation 3 il titolo di maggior successo è stato Minecraft, mentre su PlayStation Vita, un po' a sorpresa, si è imposto J-Stars Victory VS+.
