Nintendo ha dominato il mercato giapponese nel 2017, e le ultime classifiche dell'anno lo confermano, con Super Mario Odyssey e Nintendo Switch in vetta alle rispettive top 10.
Sul fronte software la situazione è fin troppo chiara: nove posizioni su dieci sono occupate da giochi per Switch o 3DS, e l'unica eccezione rappresentata dal nono posto di Earth Defense Force 5 per PlayStation 4.
