Arrivano da Media Create i classici dati di vendita settimanali per il mercato videoludico in Giappone, che in questo caso mostrano un ritorno all'assalto di Nintendo dopo la vittoria di Super Robot Wars OG su piattaforme Sony della settimana scorsa.
Culdcept Revolt per Nintendo 3DS debutta direttamente in prima posizione con oltre 29.000 copie vendute, mentre in seconda posizione si conferma inossidabile Splatoon. Il titolo Nintendo per Wii U rappresenta veramente un fenomeno interessante come longevità nella classifica nipponica, essendo rimasto sempre presente nella top ten, e soprattutto nella parte alta di questa, per mesi. A seguire altri titoli legati alle piattaforme Nintendo come Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns per Nintendo 3DS, Minecraft: Wii U Edition e Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games per Wii U.
Sul fronte hardware si registra un esponenziale aumento nelle vendite di Wii U, passate dalle 4400 unità della settimana precedente alle 15.470 di questa settimana, dunque più che triplicate.
