Nella settimana dal 3 al 9 ottobre 2011, le classifiche di vendita italiane confermano la già ben documentata popolarità delle simulazioni calcistiche, con FIFA 12 e Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 che si dividono le top 10 console e PC.
Il calcio conquista anche i possessori di Nintendo 3DS, con la riduzione di FIFA 12 che addirittura scavalca The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D e trova la vetta. Il calcio EA Sports la fa da padrone praticamente su tutte le piattaforme PC escluso, sbaragliando qualsiasi tipo di concorrenza.
