Sono state pubblicate le nomination per i premi assegnati durante l'edizione 2018 dei The Game Awards, l'evento organizzato e condotto da Geoff Keighley, che quest'anno si svolgerà il 6 dicembre e in cui Multiplayer.it sarà nuovamente membro della giuria.
A guidare i nominati, God of War di Sony Santa Monica e Red Dead Redemption 2 di Rockstar Games presenti entrambi in ben otto categorie. Entrambi concorrono al GOTY 2018, dove troviamo anche Assassin's Creed Odyssey di Ubisoft (4 nomination); Celeste di Matt Makes Games (4 nomination); Marvel's Spider-Man di Insomniac Games (7 nomination), Monster Hunter: World di Capcom (3 nomination).
