Arrivano i dati di vendita relativi al mercato software e hardware videoludico giapponese per la settimana compresa tra il 21 e il 27 luglio 2014, sempre ad opera di Media Create.
Continua il successo inarrestabile di Youkai Watch 2: la nuova creatura di Level 5 si conferma al primo posto della classifica software con altre 180.880 copie vendute nella settimana in questione, che portano il totale a quasi 2 milioni nel giro di qualche settimana. La new entry maggiore, Yoshi's New Island, non riesce a scalfire la supremazia dell'adventure ectoplasmico, piazzandosi comunque seconda con 58.285 copie, sopra Mario Kart 8. Le altre novità sono rappresentate da Tokyo New World Record: Operation Abyss per PlayStation Vita al quinto posto, seguito da Corpse Party: Blood Drive sempre per PlayStation Vita al sesto e quindi Under Nigh In-Birth Exe:Late di Arc System Works per PlayStation 3 all'ottavo posto.
Sul fronte hardware cambia poco: Nintendo 3DS continua a dominare il mercato ma PlayStation Vita rimane a ruota, sebbene abbia perso un po' di strada rispetto alla settimana scorsa. Wii U vende 9.429 unità ed è prima tra le console domestiche, dove invece si continua a registrare la scarsa penetrazione di PlayStation 4, ferma a 5.581 unità nella settimana in questione.
