Nella settimana che precede il Natale, le classifiche giapponesi non hanno visto particolari variazioni: in testa alla top 10 è rimasto Puzzle & Dragons Z per Nintendo 3DS, ormai a quota 800.000 copie e prossimo a superare il traguardo del milione di unità vendute, seguito da Pokémon X e Y e dalla new entry Shin Gundam Musou per PlayStation 3. Drakengard 3, anche questo per PlayStation 3, ha debuttato in quarta posizione.
Sul fronte hardware le festività hanno portato a un'impennata delle vendite, con il Nintendo 3DS LL che passa da 130.000 a 164.000 unità settimanali, Wii U da 74.000 a 109.000 e PlayStation Vita da 30.000 a 50.000.
