Urban Cinefile ci informa che, per voce di George Miller, lo script di "Mad Max 4" è stato completato e le riprese sono inizieranno tra poco. Purtroppo non sarà possibile girare in Australia, sebbene il regista lo desideri molto: "Unfortunately, we won’t be able to shoot in Australia, although I’d dearly love to. We need some real big stretches of desert where the cars don’t get bogged; those deserts in South Australia would do but it’s not practical for the cars. So we’ll have to shoot elsewhere."
