Senza sorprese, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate si riconferma il leader assoluto della classifica dei giochi più venduti in Giappone nella settimana dal 10 al 16 dicembre 2018, con 406.617 copie vendute.
God Eater 3 ha debuttato in seconda posizione, totalizzando 150.523 unità, ed è seguito a stretto giro da Judgment, il nuovo gioco d'azione dai creatori di Yakuza, che si è fermato a quota 148.246 copie.
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! e Let's Go, Eevee! si trovano al quarto posto, davanti a Super Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe e Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition. Chiudono la top 10 Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey e The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Per quanto riguarda l'hardware, Nintendo Switch ha raggiunto 281.213 unità, mantenendosi sostanzialmente costante rispetto alla settimana precedente. PS4, invece, ha venduto 81.594 unità, considerando cumulativamente sia il modello standard che la versione Pro.
