Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, il nuovo titolo di Square Enix per Nintendo 3DS, ha beffato tutti e si è imposto al top delle classifiche software giapponesi con 141mila copie, superando la versione PS3 di Resident Evil 6 (scesa a quasi 93mila copie settimanali). In terza posizione un altro debutto eccellente, quello di Project X Zone, che però non fa il botto e anzi delude.
Sul fronte hardware, le posizioni tornano alla normalità dopo il lancio della nuova PlayStation 3 Slim, con Nintendo 3DS XL in testa a quota 52mila unità, seguito dal 3DS "standard" con 27mila unità e da PS3 con 26mila unità. PlayStation Vita è quasi ai minimi storici, con appena 6mila pezzi venduti.
