GameCube conquista gli States per Natale
Il sostanzioso taglio di prezzo a 99$ ha giovato al GameCube, tanto che il 128bit Nintendo ha fatto un incredibile balzo in avanti in termini di vendite, arrivando a dominare il mese di Novembre, sorpassato solo, ma di poco, dall'invincibile PlayStation 2. I dati parlano chiaro: negli States a Novembre sono stati venduti 754.000 GameCube e 850.000 PlayStation 2, mentre Xbox si è fermato a quota 490.000 unità. Sorpendente il fatto che il videogioco più venduto in assoluto, per qualunque piattaforma, sia stato Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, con ben 528.000 pezzi piazzati. La classifica hardware è comunque sempre dominata dal GBA, con 1.3 milioni di console vendute.
