Anche su PlayStation 3 è rimasta intatta la componente online del gioco. Electronic Arts si è infatti impegnata ad aggiungere in Carbon delle modalità multigiocatore online degne di nota. Il gioco rende possibile la sfida fino ad 8 partecipanti contemporaneamente, in due fondamentali sfide: Pursuit Tag e Pursuit Knockout.
