La Golden Week giapponese ha di certo rallentato le vendite del settore videoludico, e infatti le cifre rilevate nella settimana dal 7 al 13 maggio sono invero modeste rispetto a quanto siamo abituati a vedere: Mario Party 9 è primo con appena 37mila copie, Starhawk debutta bene (quarto) ma con meno di 13mila copie, e così via.
Chiaramente il periodo ha praticamente dimezzato anche le vendite hardware, con PlayStation Vita che ha segnato un nuovo record negativo: solo 6mila unità vendute questa settimana per la console portatile Sony.
