Dopo la pubblicazione della lunga lista di candidati arrivano le nomine definitive dei vincitori di quest'anno per i Game Critics Awards, per quanto riguarda i titoli presenti all'E3 2016.
La giuria era composta da giornalisti ed esperti di settore provenienti da ben 40 testate specializzate, tra le quali figura anche la redazione di Multiplayer.it che ha partecipato dunque alla consegna degli Award. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild conquista il Best of Show, premio più importante del lotto, insieme a Best Console Game e Best Action/Adventure Game, a dimostrazione di come il titolo Nintendo abbia colpito fortemente il pubblico e la stampa.
Menzioniamo inoltre Horizon: Zero Dawn come Best Original Game e Civilization VI come Best PC Game, mentre Inside si è aggiudicato il Best Independent Game. Riportiamo qua sotto l'elenco completo dei vincitori:
