Microsoft ha confermato che Windows 8 avrà un negozio integrato dove gli utenti potranno acquistare delle applicazioni, proprio come succede con i sistemi operativi iOS e Android.
Il nuovo Windows è sviluppato da trentacinque diversi team, ognuno composto da 25-40 componenti. Tra questi pare che ce ne sia uno che stia integrando Kinect nel nuovo sistema operativo (altrimenti a cosa lavorerebbe il team Human Interaction Platform?)
