Dunque..
Ubi Soft ha fatto letteralmente tredici, portandosi a casa tre premi su sei tra i giochi mostrati qui alla Fiera di Londra. A parte gli Awards assegnati a giochi usciti nel corso dell'ultimo anno (compreso Mafia votato dai voi lettori in un apposito sondaggio di qualche settimana fa), è interessante osservare come abbia colpito in particolare il gioco in cel shading XIII tratto dal fumetto belga omonimo.
La premiazione è stata molto toccante, con l'entusiasmo dello staff di Ubi Soft accorso in massa ad assistere al fiume di statuine consegnate da Andy Lane e Dean Barrett, rispettivamente presidente di ECTS e CEO di CMP.
Cito a parte il premio speciale "London Games Week Award" andato a Valve/Vivendi per Half-Life 2, ignorato in tutto il resto, forse per paura di essere troppo banali, a favore di XIII.
Il momento ilare è scattato quando il gioco votato dagli italiani è stato Mafia (distribuito in Italia da Cidiverte), che ha confermato ancora una volta l'associazione mentale Italia-Spaghetti-Mandolino-Mafia.
Gli ECTS Awards 2003 si sono conclusi e Ubi Soft ha trionfato, o come dire, ha fatto tredici. Anzi per meglio dire XIII.
