Come saprete se seguite il gioco, Hello Games qualche tempo fa ha iniziato un'Alternative Reality Game, o ARG, chiamato Waking Titan, legato al nuovo aggiornamento di No Man's Sky, il suo discusso titolo spaziale attualmente fermo alla versione 1.23.
I giocatori hanno decifrato gli indizi a disposizione, concludendo con successo la fase 1 (Waking Titan sarà diviso in tre fasi). Cos'hanno ottenuto? Un file PDF con scritto sopra un breve messaggio, che suggerisce l'arrivo dell'aggiornamento 1.3 ad agosto e parla dell'introduzione di un "universo familiare". Il messaggio è firmato dalle iniziali S e M, che stanno probabilmente per Sean Murray, il capo dello studio di sviluppo.
Ecco il testo originale del messaggio:
We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Mercury Subroutine so far. We hope you have enjoyed the successful distribution of 180 Access IDs, and we hope you will also appreciate the other interesting artifacts we have in store for you going forward.
We intend to keep the process alive until the completion of Project Waking Titan in August. It is important to mention that we are very excited by the coming Phases 2 and 3. Input from the Mercury Subroutine will pave the way toward new experiences in version 1.3 of a familiar universe. We look forward to the successful conclusion of this ground-breaking experiment.
