L'estate è ormai alle spalle e come di consueto questo periodo dell'anno ci accompagna verso il Tokyo Game Show, il principale appuntamento dedicato ai videogiochi sul mercato orientale, che ancora una volta andrà in scena presso il Makuhari Messe di Chiba. Come da tradizione la redazione di Multiplayer.it sarà presente sul posto per raccontarvi tutte le novità più gustose e accattivanti che emergeranno la prossima settimana: aspettatevi dunque una ricca varietà di video e provati a cura dei nostri inviati, Umberto Moioli e Vincenzo Lettera. Ovviamente non mancheremo di garantire una copertura trasversale anche dall'Italia, grazie al sostegno delle notizie quotidiane e del Cortocircuito trasmesso dagli studi di Terni nelle giornate di giovedì 12 e venerdì 13, dalle 16 alle 18. I titoli confermati
Diversamente dalle abitudini consolidate nelle precedenti edizioni della fiera giapponese, Sony ha confermato di non avere in programma una conferenza di presentazione dei suoi prossimi titoli. Scelta che peraltro si colloca perfettamente in linea di continuità con la recente strategia comunicativa dell'azienda nipponica. Al posto dell'evento al quale eravamo abituati si svolgerà un live show direttamente dallo stand Sony presso l'Exhibition Hall 5. L'attenzione sarà rivolta soprattutto a Death Stranding, ma nell'elenco sono inclusi anche Final Fantasy 7 Remake e Nioh 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare e Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. C'è poi Resident Evil: Project Resistance di Capcom, probabile spin-off della saga votato al multiplayer cooperativo, di cui verranno presentate le prime sequenze di gameplay in un live streaming organizzato per sabato 14 settembre.
Atlus prenderà parte al TGS 2019 portando esclusivamente Persona 5 Royal e 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, nuovo gioco d'avventura realizzato da Vanillaware, a fianco di titoli provenienti dai partner tra i quali Shenmue 3 e Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Nella lista di Bandai Namco segnaliamo la presenza di Little Nightmares 2 e del JRPG Tales of Arise, di cui si tornerà a parlare dopo la presentazione ufficiale avvenuta all'E3 2019. SEGA darà spazio innanzitutto a Yakuza: Like a Dragon, nuovo capitolo della saga che alla presenza di un protagonista inedito unisce un nuovo sistema di combattimento a turni ispirato alla saga di Dragon Quest. Nella line-up troviamo però anche Mario & Sonic ai Giochi Olimpici di Tokyo 2020 per Nintendo Switch e Fist of the North Star: Legends ReVIVE per dispositivi iOS e Android. Square Enix porterà Marvel's Avengers di Crystal Dynamics, affiancato da altri titoli di sicuro interesse come Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition e Romancing SaGa 3, oltre al già citato Final Fantasy 7 Remake. E poi c'è Spike Chunsoft, che occupandosi della pubblicazione in Giappone di Cyberpunk 2077 proporrà uno stand interamente dedicato al nuovo action RPG realizzato da CD Projekt RED.
Gli assenti
Proprio negli ultimi giorni il designer giapponese Suda51 ha confermato che al Tokyo Game Show 2019 non saranno rivelati nuovi dettagli su No More Heroes 3, nuovo capitolo della saga action con Travis Touchdown, atteso su Nintendo Switch entro la fine del 2020. All'elenco degli assenti si è aggiunto anche Ghost of Tsushima, nonostante il gioco sia di fatto presente nella line-up annunciata da Sony. Proprio la scorsa settimana gli sviluppatori di Sucker Punch hanno fatto presente che non saranno presenti in fiera per mostrare nuovi trailer o sessioni di gameplay, pertanto dovrebbero essere riproposti contenuti di gioco già rivelati in precedenza. Tra i sicuri assenti ricordiamo anche Bayonetta 3 di Platinum Games, Elden Ring di From Software e Shin Megami Tensei V di Atlus.
